Context

When and where

Lee Mack's rock-concert routine was part of his stand-up act. Jordan Paris performed it almost word-for-word on Australia's Got Talent (Seven Network) in May 2011.

What followed

Paris was also found to have used material from US comic Geoff Keith, and initially shrugged that 'a joke's a joke'. Allowed to perform his own material in the semi-final, he flopped and was voted off. Even his self-deprecating line about sacking his writers 'Copy and Paste' matched a Jeffrey Ross gag from the 2009 Joan Rivers roast. Mack laughed the whole thing off.
